Eid Al Fitr to Begin on Sunday – June 25

We are greeting everyone an Eid Mubarak! Eid Al Fitr starts on Sunday, June 25, 2017.

The moon sighting committee has announced the date of Eid Al Fitr will be on Sunday after confirming the sighting of the moon. Please be advised that all ministries and government institutions will be closed for 3 days. Work for government sector will resume on Wednesday.

Eid Al Fitr Announced in Bahrain

The moon sighting today means that it’s the end of Ramadan and the start of the new month, Eid holidays will begin on a Sunday.

Meaning of Eid Al Fitr

For your reference, Eid Al Fitr means “Celebration of Breaking the Fast” which is the festive event to mark the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. This would usually start after 29 or 30 days of Ramadan.
